- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 bell peppers, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 6 large tomatoes, diced
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups elbow noodles
- 2 tbsps Tabasco pepper sauce
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef over medium heat in a large skillet, breaking it up as you go. Drain the excess fat from the pan.
- Add the diced onion, bell peppers, and garlic to the pan.
- Sauté until the onions are translucent and the peppers are softened.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and water. Bring to a simmer.
- Add in the elbow noodles and cook until the pasta is al dente, about 12-15 minutes.
- Mix in Tabasco pepper sauce, salt, and pepper to your liking. Enjoy!
Notes
- Homegrown vegetables make this recipe, but if you don’t have a home garden, make sure to get fresh vegetables from a local grocer.
- Top with a dollop of sour cream, tortilla strips, avocado, or a sprinkle of cheese.
